Since my Sauna Studio was built in the summer, I’ve had lots of time recording voiceovers  in there.  Here’s a look at what’s transpired since construction was completed.

Temperature:  I did not swelter

Space:  It’s roomy, but I keep banging shoulder on acoustic foam

Audio Quality:  I’ve asked several audio producers and engineers and they all say it sounds great.

Video Monitor:  Doing sessions on Source Connect required me to connect then walk into the booth.

Video Monitor 2:  Doing a SessionLInk Pro session made me grateful I added a video monitor to the booth so I could watch the video I was recording for.

Background:  people comment on the purple.  I like shooting videos in there.blonde woman wearing green shirt sits in VoiceOver booth near microphone and smiles at camera

Feel:  I confess there were many times when I’d see an audition opportunity come through on the VoiceOver casting websites and I’d think, “ugh, I don’t feel like going upstairs to record that audition.”  Now, I have no reservations.  I willingly go downstairs to crank out auditions.

Summary:  I’m very happy with the Sauna Studio.  It is fully functional and I’m happy to record from it.
